Bible Art Journaling

As you go through the different verses this month, how about turning the verses into some Bible Art?

For starters you can just draw on plain pieces of paper and create beautiful art to hang on your walls or use as bookmarks in your Bible.

If you want to go more elaborate you can purchase a Journaling Bible and fill the pages with your art.

If you’re new to Bible Art Journaling here’s a great article to help you get started:

Books & Devotionals

If you’re really wanting to dig deeper into the topic of joy, here are some great devotional books that may be of interest to you:

Set-Apart Motherhood: Reflecting Joy and Beauty in Family Life

by Leslie Ludy

Being a mother is tough, and sometimes life can be hectic and disorganized. This book will encourage, inspire, and equip moms to be successful in raising their kids, managing their homes, and keeping Christ at the center of their mothering. Written from the perspective of a mom who is currently “in the trenches” with several young children at home, Leslie will help guide readers to become mothers who are set apart for God’s purposes.

I Didn't Plan to Be a Witch and Other Surprises of a Joyful Mother

by Linda Eyre

A mother of nine shares about the vital importance of motherhood both in it's magnificent moments as well as those days when mothers feel they are living in a Roadrunner cartoon that never ends. She shares her own experiences with managing unmanageable schedules, coping with mealtime chaos, trying to find time for herself, and the sometimes desperate measures that are necessary to get it all done.

Choose Joy Devotional

by Kay Warren

The Choose Joy Devotional helps put those joy-filled principles into focus each day. Each of the thirty entries begins with an encouraging Scripture, followed by Kay's wise words on how to live with joy even when life is challenging, our plans are shattered, our health fails, or it feels like we are walking through life alone. Each devotion ends with a short prayer to help bring the reader closer to the true source of all joy--their loving God.

Joy: A Godly Woman's Adornment

by Lydia Brownback

This small, on-the-go, deotional book teaches that we will only find perpetual joy when we pursue Christ. Brownback helps women understand that their joy is not circumstantial, but built on the promises of God and the work of Jesus. Forty-two short devotionals look to Scripture for words of encouragement, correction, wisdom, and guidance to help women adorn themselves with joy.
