Praying for Your Husband: Future

Lord, I thank you that you have given ___(name)___ a vision for the future. I pray that he would never lose sight of that vision and never lose the excitement and passion he has for reaching the lost.

In all things, help him to understand that your plans for him are for good and not evil, to give him a future and a hope. Fill him with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that he may walk worthy of you, pleasing you, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of you.

May he follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and not walk in doubt or fear of what may happen. Help him to mature and grow in you daily, submitting to you all his dreams and desires, knowing that the things which are impossible with men are not impossible for you.

Father, I pray that you would give him clear direction and wisdom to set clear goals. Show him how to conduct himself in a way that will count for eternity and bring glory to your name. Help him to run the race unwavering, keeping his eye on the glorious reward that awaits him at the finish-line.

I pray that he will be active in service for you all the days of his life. Keep him from losing his sense of purpose. Fill him with hope for his future. And grant him the desires of his heart.

Help him to live each day in light of eternity. Making the most of every opportunity. And when it comes time for him to leave this earth to go to be with you, may he have such a confidence and peace about his eternal destiny that it will make his transition smooth, painless, and accompanied by peace and joy. Until that day, I pray that you would sustain him and keep him in perfect peace.

Amen!
