Homeschool Catalogues

* A Beka Books. Download their curriculum catalogue or shop online.

This is one of my favorite publications for homeschool curriculum. Their books are very colorful and attractive. The textbooks are easy to read, but the questions and quizes are good at challenging the students. Just take note that their science books have some evolution teaching mixed in, so you may want to supplement the science books with other creationist materials.

* Alpha Omega Publication. Request a free catalogue or shop online.

Personally, I do not care much for the Alpha Omega curriculum, but I am including it in this list because I know many homeschool mom’s who absolutely love it. This curriculum is very simple and straight forward, but often it does not explain new concepts very clearly, which requires extra explanation or help from the teacher. Their textbooks tend to be “boring” (no colorful pictures or exciting stories), and the style of teaching really works best if a student uses the same curriculum through consecutive grades. Their curriculum is also available to do on the computer, through their Switched On Schoolhouse software. In my opinion, their computer software is better than their books, it is more engaging which helps to keep the student’s attention, and it has built in grading and reporting systems that help lessen the work for the teachers.

* Answers in Genesis. Visit their online store to shop online.

Bible-based science books and curriculum. Their resources give students a firm foundation to stand on in life and study, by proving that the Word of God really is infallible and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training (2 Tim. 3:16).

* Back Home Industries. Visit their online store to shop online.

Great Bible-based schoolbooks.

* Bob Jones University. Request a free catalogue or shop online.

Christian textbooks that teach biblical worldview and encourages critical thinking.

* Christian Book Distributors. Request a homeschool catalogue or shop online.

This company does not publish their own curriculum, but is a distributor for several different publishing companies, which makes it a great “one-stop” shopping option for teachers.

* Christian Liberty Press. Request or download their catalogue or shop online.

This company does not publish their own curriculum, but is a distributor for several deferent publishing companies, which makes it a good “one-stop” shopping option for teachers.

* Christian Light Education. Request a free catalogue or shop online.

* Rainbow Resource Center. Request a free catalogue or shop online.

This company has some resources that they publish themselves but for the most part they are a distributor for several different publishing companies, which makes it a great “one-stop” shopping option for teachers. They are especially known for having great Christian-based unit studies.

* Sonlight Curriculum. Request a free catalogue or shop online.

Sonlight Curriculum has a wide variety of books on just about every school subject and grade. They are also a great place to look for Unit Studies or complete Science Kits. All their books are full of color and entertaining enough to keep students of all ages engaged and interested. Some of their science books do contain evolution teachings, so some supplement creationist teaching may be needed.

* Timberdoodle. Request a free catalogue or shop online.

This is a very fun company, with so much more than just books and curriculum. Timberdoodle has a wide selection of educational toys, games, and hands-on learning products suited for all ages.

* Usborne Books. Download their catalogue or shop online.

This is another of my favorite publishers. They especially score in early reader books. A great alternative to Dr. Seuss. Their books are cute, colorful, and very entertaining. Just take note that their science books have a lot of evolution teaching mixed in, so you may want to supplement the science books with other creationist materials.
