Creation Numbers Craft

You can find a lot of examples of creation number crafts online, but this particular example from the Look to Him and Be Radiant website is my favorite! I especially love what they did for day seven! While a lot of other similar sites have day seven focused on the “sleep” aspect of resting, this particular activity really focuses on the “worship” side of it – and the special glitter glue on this number really helps draw out the fact that this day isn’t just a “conclusion” to the days of creation but that God actually made this day to be the main focus of all the days – the one day that is extra special!
You can find the plain numbers to download on the site linked above, or you can use the link below to download my own numbers. They’re just simple full-page outlines of number 1 through 7, but it’s really all you need to get started on this craft. You basically just take those number pages and help your child decorate each number to in a way that represents what God created on each of those days.

God Created a Beautiful Home for Us

Also from the Look to Him and Be Radiant website, you can find this very simple, yet profound lesson page for kids. I just love how this page takes the creation story one step further. God didn’t only create all the things in the world but He also had a plan and a purpose behind it. First He created a place for everything, then He filled that place with so many wonderful things, and the finishing touch was when He established a pattern and a routine that encouraged us to seek a relationship with Him – giving us a special day each week when we can seek Him and find rest in His presence. Ultimately, God created a home for us and He wants to dwell with us!

Days of Creation Paper Craft

This Days of Creation Paper Craft is pretty straight forward, you basically take seven sheets of paper and help your child to decorate the pages in a way that represents what God created on each day of creation. Very similar to the numbers craft above, only the pictures span the entire page instead of just filling in the number outlines.

Creation Mobile

This Creation Mobile is a very simple paper craft that can be assembled very quickly and easily, just print the templates, cut them out, and use a paper hole-punch and some string to piece it together!

Days of Creation Paper Plate Craft

This Days of Creation Paper Plate Craft can be a fun way to explore each of the days of creation and also have visual aids when telling the story!

YouTube: ESV Bible Memory Creation Video

This ESV Bible Memory Creation Video is one that I put together specifically for my daughter because I wasn’t able to find a children’s bible video that directly quoted from scripture but I wanted her to be exposed to the actually story, as it is told in the Bible. Because this is a direct quote from the scriptures I am also hoping that this video will make it easier for us to work on Bible memory together. As she gets older we will be working at memorizing this entire chapter of the Bible, so this short video clip is meant to help us get a bit of a “head start” in that!

YouTube: Read and Share Bible – Creation

Read and Share Bible – Creation. A very short and simple telling of the story of Ruth. The animation is cute, and the story sticks with the Biblical account of the story.

YouTube: God’s Story - Creation

God’s Story Creation is a quick telling of the creation story for kids. Simple, yet entertaining. A great way to introduce the story or use as a way to reinforce the lesson.
